Quick answers about ImmersivePage. For plan limits and feature comparison, see pricing or the full comparison.
ImmersivePage is a MultiVoice Reader — you import a story, assign distinct voices to characters, and listen with optional ambience and cinematic effects. It is built for proof-listening while you edit, not as a replacement for a retail studio audiobook on Audible or ACX.
Authors and indie writers who want to hear dialogue with a cast before publishing; readers who want multi-voice fiction from our catalog; and parents or kids exploring our public-domain fairy tales and classics. If you need one flat narrator voice, browser read-aloud may be enough — ImmersivePage shines when characters should sound different.
New accounts get 15 days on the Trial tier: one active book (up to 50,000 words), about five hours of listening, Kokoro and browser voices, and Cinema / Light / Voice-only immersion. No credit card is required to start. When the trial ends, listening pauses until you choose Standard or Pro.
Trial: Word (.docx), pasted text, or plain text. Standard and Pro add EPUB and PDF. Pro unlocks the full import set on the app (including formats we enable over time, such as scan and dictation when available). You can also open curated stories from our in-app catalog without uploading.
On our hosted service, Kokoro and Piper neural voices run on the server; your browser’s built-in voices are also available. Trial includes Kokoro + browser; Standard adds Piper and optional budget cloud keys you bring (Google, OpenAI). Pro adds premium BYO providers (ElevenLabs, Fish Audio) and hosted Azure neural when we enable it on the server. We do not fund third-party AI or cloud TTS from your subscription — you connect your own keys for those engines.
Voice only — speech only, no ambience or effects. Light — subtle scene ambience and sound effects. Cinema — full directed listening: music beds, stingers, stage motion, and richer visuals. Trial and Pro include Cinema; Standard includes Light and Voice only. Pick the preset that fits how you listen.
No — and we are upfront about that. Smart attribution helps, but you should still review the Cast step (and on Pro, fix voices while listening). ImmersivePage is a proof-listening tool, not a guarantee of perfect cast detection or a finished commercial recording.
Personal proof-listening and limited export options are fine for your own workflow. Do not treat ImmersivePage output as a retail audiobook product without checking voice licenses, your publisher agreement, and platform rules (Audible, Spotify, etc.). AI and BYO voice terms vary by provider. When in doubt, ask us or your rights holder before distributing.
Manage your subscription through the billing portal linked from your account after checkout. Subscriptions are generally non-refundable except billing errors — see our refund policy for details. Questions? Email [email protected].
